The Greek word Aletheia is usually translated as ‘truth’ but it’s original meaning is closer to ‘uncovering’. The aim of this site is to uncover connections among apparently disparate traditions (e.g. pre-Socratic philosophy, Judeo-Christian theology, and contemporary culture). In the process, we aim to uncover deep patterns that can change the way we understand the world and our place in it.
Aletheia is a collection of essays designed to offer fresh insights into traditional philosophical and theological problems and to apply those insights to contemporary developments in culture, art and the social and physical sciences.
